When We Were Younger

By Marion Metcalfe Now Manfield

I was born and lived in Bowmans Buildings - Penfold Place from 1943 to 1963. My father was Tom, known as Nick, and mother was Lucy. I left to live in Plaistow and then Cornwall.  I was schooled in St Edward's and St George's, Maida Vale. Anybody remember me? Sounds like a song! Marion

I attended St. Paul's Bentink School in Broadley Terrace 1940 (on/off due to the war) -1951. I lived in Church Street  though born in Wharncliffe Gardens. Never able to trace any pupils from the school. I was the school goalkeeper 1950-1951. Now retired living in Cardiff.
